Henrik Eiben  – Birds

Henrik Eiben’s BIRDS series comprises 25 unique pieces made from wood, fabric and leather. These pieces explore the boundaries between painting, sculpture and drawing in terms of form and colour. The works impress with their subtle materiality, precise composition and sensitive colour palette. They encapsulate Eiben’s characteristic style, combining geometric rigour and subtle colour combinations with tactile contrasts without ever losing their lightness or playful grace.

Born in Tokyo in 1975, Henrik Eiben is a German artist who is now considered one of the most important contemporary artists of his generation. His works have been exhibited internationally, including in New York, and are held in several renowned collections. He combines painting, sculpture and drawing with materials such as glass, fabric and wood to create clear yet poetic compositions. Eiben lives and works in Hamburg.
